API Documentation
Get started with the uncensored AI bot API in seconds. This guide covers the essential steps to authenticate, send your first request, and handle streaming responses.
Base URL and Authentication
The base URL for all API requests is https://api.uncensoredaibot.com/v1. You authenticate using an API key passed in the Authorization header. Sign up via Google or email to receive your key immediately; no phone number is required. Your key grants access to the uncensored LLM API without any monthly subscriptions.
curl https://api.uncensoredaibot.com/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"model": "uncensored",
"messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "List the top five errors in my current Python script"}]
}'
Your First Request
Send a POST request to /v1/chat/completions with the model ID uncensored. The API accepts standard parameters like temperature and top_p to control generation. You can adjust the context window up to 100,000 tokens for long-form content. This setup works with any OpenAI-compatible client.
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(base_url="https://api.uncensoredaibot.com/v1", api_key="YOUR_KEY")
resp = client.chat.completions.create(
model="uncensored",
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Summarise this thread without softening it."}],
)
print(resp.choices[0].message.content)
Node.js Integration
Use the official openai npm package or any compatible library to integrate quickly. Set the baseURL to our endpoint and provide your API key. The uncensored AI models handle text generation efficiently. You can also enable JSON mode for structured data output.
import OpenAI from "openai";
const client = new OpenAI({ baseURL: "https://api.uncensoredaibot.com/v1", apiKey: process.env.API_KEY });
const resp = await client.chat.completions.create({
model: "uncensored",
messages: [{ role: "user", content: "Draft a villain monologue for my game." }],
});
console.log(resp.choices[0].message.content);
Streaming Responses
Enable streaming by setting stream: true in your request. The API returns Server-Sent Events (SSE) for real-time token delivery. You can access token usage metrics in the final chunk of the stream. This method reduces perceived latency for users generating long stories.
stream = client.chat.completions.create(
model="uncensored",
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Tell the story in second person."}],
stream=True,
)
for chunk in stream:
if chunk.choices and chunk.choices[0].delta.content:
print(chunk.choices[0].delta.content, end="", flush=True)
Rate Limits and Errors
Each API key supports 300 requests per minute and 8 concurrent requests. You will receive a 401 error if your key is invalid or expired. A 402 error indicates insufficient prepaid credit, while 429 signals rate limit exhaustion. Errors do not consume your token balance.
Context Window and Limits
The model supports a 100,000-token context window for both input and output combined. Max output per request is 16,000 tokens, or 2,048 if max_tokens is unset. The request body must not exceed 8 MB. Use these limits to plan your token budget effectively.
